About the Role
NxtPro Talent Group is seeking an experienced Data Scientist with expertise in healthcare to join our clients team. In this role, you will use mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions. The Data Scientist work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Data Scientist develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop statistical analytics using SAS, SQL, Python, R, and Hive QL programming languages and packages
- Build data extracts and determine data patterns from structured and unstructured data
- Ensure and maintain data quality and reliability
- Research new data sources to identify opportunities to increase analytic capabilities
- Analyze large amounts of data and summarize data to formulate conclusions and make recommendations to leadership and colleagues. Includes creating reports and models to support business strategy and tactics
- Possesses an understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
- Be capable of making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations.
- Ensure full and clear documentation of all processes, following best practices including peer review of material work products
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
- Work as part of a cross-functional team that integrates advanced analytics solutions to support the multiple company locations and business segments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or related quantitative program
- 4 years technical experience
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting
- Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business
- Experience in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions
- Possesses an understanding of department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas
- Capable of making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Experience in analyzing data using tools/software such as SAS, Python, RClear and concise oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate statistical concepts to broad audiences
